
Michelin Star Renewal
As a result of hard working and consistency, Al Sud Palmares Michelin star was renewed. Open since June 2021, the restaurant has placed Lagos city on the premium international gastronomy guide. For Louis Anjos, the Executive Chef: ‘The renewal of the star is the proof of our quality and consistency of work, of a passionate team and always focused on doing better’.
With that in mind, currently, Al Sud Palmares is the only kitchen in Portugal that has three chefs with the distinction of ‘Chefe Cozinheiro do Ano’ (Chef Cook of the Year): Louis Anjos won it in 2012, Ricardo Luz in 2019 and now, Jeferson Dias is the most recent winner, living up to the high standards of the restaurant.
Jeferson Dias was elected ‘Chef Cook of the Year‘ at the event that took place in Lamego, in May 2023, dazzling the jury with a menu composed of ‘Aveludados Sopa de Mushrooms’, ‘Açorda de Bacalhau e Cockles’, ‘Frug in Aromas of Caldeirada’, ‘Prestinha de Porco em Aromas de Caldeirada’ and ‘Almond, Pumpkin and Honey’.
